I was curious if this was an authentic finish or did someone paint this thing.

Even though it's a unique finish and minty, it still seems over-priced to me.

Yeah, that's a factory finish, and yup, overpriced too

These finishes seemed prone to the clearcoat lifting: 2 or 3 of the 4 or 5 I've seen have had clearcoat issues.

Knife edges, stringblocks and trem-ar thread are rusted as well

So was that a factory trem? I thought Floyds were standard?

The 590 trem was standard in this era.

Yep. I got one off of MarkD a couple months ago. It's a 2005. Definitely my favorite finish they did, and it was at the top of my 'want list' forever.

They didn't make many in holoflake. I've been after one for over a decade, but was never able to find one in good shape until Mark decided to let his go.

that 1993 was/is not mine. like Ward said, he got mine back in november. that 2005 holoflake had no clear coat issues, but i had seen that with the 1990's era holoflakes...

Ward, how's the guitar holding up? still love it??? i miss having a holoflake - i am thinking about getting that black les paul refinned in holoflake....
