  • USA JJ 2 find

Found this one in Greenwood Ind GC.
#0696 JJ I think its a 2001 but not sure Most had vol tone and a 3 way this has the kill button.
Scott Ian Duncans and holy shit it rips!
Not as heavy as the JJP bolt on I had but still sounds incredible.
Cool thing my guitar salesman was Troy Seele from Iced Earth how cool is that??
I have met Jon Shaffer of IE a few times plus I have been a huge IE fan for years.

I can see how an artist would like their guitar to be different, but this one went too far.

Congratulations on the JJ, I'm not insulting the guitar, it just doesn't scream Jackson.

But in a different point of view, like for people in this forum it does scream Jackson... I'll shut up now, I've never seen one of those in real life, let alone got to play one.

So what are you saying? It looks retarded? It should say "Yahtzee" on the headstock?

                I agree

Its kind of the best of both worlds for me anyway.I like a Gibson L.P. Jr for the shape and how they feel and the JJ Scott Ian model because of the soft V shape chunky neck profile.
The feel is different but the quality is all Jackson.
I love the Jackson JJ models one because they are a departure from the norm.
I didn't think much of them until I played one.
Deff plays great and sounds impressive.

You see a few of the bolt on ones for sale but rarely a neck thru.
I will say the Duncan Diablo SI pick ups are quite tasty sounding.
                      The bridge is 22.1k

Thought these were a set neck?

                        Cool either way, cheers

Edit: the back view definately shows what looks to be the neck through the body, always thought the mahogany JJ's were set neck and the alder ones were bolt on, not sure why

I played one a lot like that one and it was a neck through. Loved the soft V. Couldn't get it but love it. Those pickups sound badass too. Sounded huge through a Marshall. May have to hunt one down.

Bolt on are JJ 1, JJ2 neck thru.Solid colors are alder trans finish mahogany.
Deff neck thru on this one but I have heard set neck too so maybe they did some that way too IDK.
Thru my son of boogie head and Marshall cab it does sound damn good.
The pick ups are the El Diablo Duncans and are 22.1k according to Duncan's site plenty hot for sure.

I am waiting on a JJ 7 string to arrive early this week. I never played a JJ or a 7 string so I am rather stoked. They sure have a different look than most Jacksons, I just hope it plays the same though.
I like black and white guitars
