Got this in today from Coloradoman 25 and really a nice guitar overall.
Has its bumps here and there but nothing major hell its an 88-89 so I would expect that.
From the pics he had I thought it was a solid black but no its got some sparkle in the paint which sets it off nicely.
Can't wait for a sunny day to get some better pics.
The neck is slick as butter.It sounds and plays great, OFR as well sitting right on the deck.
The fingerboard is lighter than most rosewood boards I have so it could be Pau Ferro IDK for sure.
Weighs in at an even 9 lbs right about where I like the weight to be.
Very clean over all and a monster player.

Nice strat, Stray! If I didn't have two three black strats I may have gone for it. Those 1-hummers with OFR's sure are nice to find.

Who knows? Maybe it is rosewood. I had a Hamer Special that had a pretty light rosewood board that had some tight grain.

99% thats pau it sounds different than RW as well I know I had a half dozen or so strats around here to compare it to lol

That flake has some pale holographic quality in good sunlight as well. Never seen a black with that LARGE flake before. its somwhere between normal and the supersized GMW style stuff.

Yeah who knows for sure.All I know is the guitar is bad ass.
Not sure what pick up is in it( reg spaced) but I cranked it up some and tweaked the pole pieces and it rips thru the Cyg 30 watter.

Chris It did seem brighter to me too but I thought it was just me.
The colors in the paint range from purple to silver and some blues and greens in there too.
Very nice guitar Chris thanks a bunch its a deff winner.

The pick up is really loose sounding not all tight and compressed which makes this one sound killer.

I wouldn't be surprised if the body is maple its heavy I guess we will find out next string change still has the tape under the paint in the trem route.
All the pertinent info should be there.
