Schallers have a stamped made in Germany by the bar or trem arm.
I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

        It's not a JT-590 (Schaller) it's an OFR.
        See the pics above...

I have an identical body and color Model 2. It came with the J50C pickup, but I swapped in a Custom Custom and had to use a different ring from Fretsonthenet. And yes, the neck pocket had to be modified. I swapped out the JT6 for an OFR using the Jackson posts. Definitely a Model 2 body though.

Plastic covers, recessed, and look at the middle trem cover screws. USA from the same time period would have them reversed.

                    So the final spec is.

Jackson USA 22 fret Ebony neck (no finish, locking nut)
Neck plate Jackson USA San Dimas #3565 (Ontario Strat)
87-88 Model 2 Body (plastics cavity covers)
Original Floyd Rose (made in Germany)
                    Duncan Distortion

All the above are facts. I was hoping the whole guitar was original. I would still love to know what guitar the neck came from and if the OFR came from the same guitar? I have been searching for a jap charvel model 2, I guess what I got here is like a model 2 on steroids!!!

Those are great necks. I like the "transitional" right-angle tuners with the Jackson logo. Those suggest its from late '86 or early '87.

Not sure what you meant? Right angle tuners? Sorry, can you be a little more specific?

Look at the back of the headstock, look at the tuners... notice the tang that the screw goes through? Compare that to your other guitars and you'll see the difference.

I see what your saying now. Three of the Jackson/charvel guitars I own: Jackson COW, 86 Model 4, 87 Model 3, all have the angled screw mount.

Right. Those 90 degree tabs were used pre-'86. Typically they had no logo on them. Around late '86, just before they moved to the 45 degree tuners, they started putting those logos on them.
