Some pics of pinhead including work in progress:

Regarding the Floyd pro 7, it's great as the original FR. I do not play too close from the bridge, so whether it's an original or pro version, it doesn't change my habits.

Love that Broderick. If I had any need for another 7-string, I'd be all over one of those.

Nice guitars, really love your collection! I also have the SLS3 but in White with stock pick ups, how do you compare it to an USA model?

Yeah, how would you compare the guitar to the others in your collection?
I would really appreciate it if you could compare it to your Japanese seven stringer, then your USA model and last but not least, your custom shop.
                Thanks!

What size are the frets on these? 6100's?

Thanks. Honestly, the SLS3 is just on par with my USA models. It's even my favorite guitar, and I play much of my guitar time on it. I'm looking to find a used one right now to have an other one as it's a really amazing guitar.

The Broderick is very different from the rest of my Jackson guitars, you still feel the Jackson DNA, but the fact it' doesn't feature the compound radius fingerboard gives is a "strange" feeling for a Jackson. The action is very low, and the SS frets are just amazing, it's an other world regarding bend and tapping, it just brings more brightness to the sound. The controls are just in the perfect place to be ergonomic and not on the way while playing.

Regarding construction, it's the same level of quality, maybe even better, than my custom shop or my SL2H, with the exception that the guitar had a little problem when I got it, the tone pots didn't work properly, and it generates a lot of "hum" and "noise". It took more than 2 months for the FMIC guys to admit there was a problem and send the new pot (Big thank you to the guys of Broc'n roll for the help and professionalism). Now it's OK, but I'm not a huge fan of the pickups, too bright, with not enough body for me, so I'm looking to replace them by Duncans (probably Nazgul & sentient if I manage to get it in white).

The SLAT3-7 is a really good guitar, with the visual inconvenience of the "too big headstock" that kills it's carreer. I would say that with a better headstock, and an ebony fingerboard, it would have been a must have for 7 stringers. I still use it more than the Broderick now because of the pickups. EMG are better than the DiMarzio for rythm.

                            Thank you.

One of the things I forgot to tell is that the SLAT3-7 has a speed neck feeling, whereas the Chris Broderick has a taller neck, more similar to regular soloist neck.
