Would those do fairly technical metal?
I do need a pretty tight tone

The Muy Grande is a really heavy Pickup. Much power with awesome clarity and sustain. Play an accord and you can hear every string. No mud. It have 16KOhm. Perfect for high gain sounds. I love it.

      BTW I own a SL2H too and I use SH4 & SH1 in it. Very nice!

Very nice! Those are 89s in there. Do you have two push/pull pots for them or are they split by just one controlling both?

            Both pots are push/pull.

I'm getting old as well. I'm selling my Rhoads (the one with the purple lightning graphic) to have this instead. I'm still playing pretty extreme metal, but this guitar just spoke to me, when I picked it up. So f it if I seem out of place with a burst Soloist at our gigs

Ah, Kimling, so that's why you're selling your RR1! Congrats on the new guitar.
