The new version blends better I think, although I do like maple fingerboards and dots. Glad you were able to get the change in, I've got my fingers crossed for you.
Looks better the new way. Only change I'd make would be making it a Charvel logo.....but that's just me. Like Jackson, but love Charvel.
I'd be inclined to agree with you, bombtek. However, Charvel won't do these specs (neck thru, primarily) so, it's over to Jackson. It'll be interesting to see how the Jackson CS compares to my Charvel CS, which is bolt-on, but essentially the same specs.
Hey Vector! I like the new look better bro. Make sure you upload some shots as soon as you get it! By the way, what is the 12th fret inlay???
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.
1) Sounds like an awful lot of work. Have you tried the JCF's guitar generator? http://www.jcfonline.com/guitargen/L...mGuitarGen.htm (You do need to be a paying member to use if I'm not mistaken...)
2) You're not bothering your dealer. You're giving him/her business. Likely, they will be grateful and will understand the desire to get a custom order right, especially given the cost and the time involved. Even if it involves a last minute revision. And even if they don't understand occasional changes, hopefully they are professional enough to keep it to themselves.
The generator is great, but it doesn't really do fully custom shop, if you know what I mean. Colour choices, artwork, headstocks, etc.
Plus, I want to make sure it's right for me moreover.

No finger crossing necessary. According to Matt, it's a done deal, approved and my "place in the queue" is still the same. If the initial projection for completion is accurate, I'll be getting my meat hooks on it by late March.
I agree, the maple board looks killer. Part of why I initially went with that. The other reason was to get that 80's metal vibe. You know, the EVH, Warren DiMartini, etc. look and sound. problem is I've never really gotten along with maple boards- tend to be a tad slick feeling and frankly, I can't dial in a decent sound. They come across as too bright for my needs.
