  • Sad. One of my current goals is ( or was ) getting money to get a Jackson CS. Guess i´ll start to look at a Suhr or a ESP Custom Shop. The case of this Dinky is totally unbelieveble, and that kelly was no less... Working hard to pay a very expensive guitar, then waiting 2 fuckin years ( if no delay ) to get a fucked up 4000 dollar guitar.... its total frustration. I just can´t believe a JACKSON CS could come this shit.

Make sure you look at GJ2 Grover Jackson's new company before you go spending eight grand on an ESP. Grover's wait time is 3 to 4 months and half the price ESP is charging at most.

This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

      • What a nightmare. Still waiting on my CS order. November will be two years, and the build hasn't started. Not worth the hassle.

A little off topic but-- were it not for those fugly head stock shapes, I'd consider a GJ2.

            • Wow, I think everyone is missing the boat, even Jackson. #1, Jackson is full of shit. All those routes were done by CNC and they are fine. #2, The problem is not the routes, it's the idiot who drilled the trem posts holes too far over to the treble side. Jackson is wrong about the bridge/neck alignment. It's off, it's wrong, somebody screwed up. To attempt to compensate for the screw up, they mounted the pickups a little to the right and the Floyd is sitting a little to the right because the post holes were drilled a little off. That is the entire problem.

              • IDK, but the routes looks off, the posts look off, the neck looks off. The whole thing is just fucking off, and it's lame! Too bad, as it's a sweet looking guitar otherwise.Bridge.jpg

The head stocks are kind of strange.

At least it has 24 frets.

Nope, you are wrong (much to my suprise). They are done via a template and router / shaper. No CNC.

They used to be done that way in Glendora and in Ontario. The new shop does everything by CNC. Unless it's a true super custom that requires something that is not already programmed into CNC, there is no reason to not use the CNC machines. Fender spent a bunch of money bringing the Jackson USA shop into the 2000's with equipment, machines and technology. But, who knows, no reason not to CNC but just maybe the body not being CNC'd is the reason for the Floyd post holes being drilled off ??? Actually, the more I think about it, you may be right. Using a CNC machine would have prevented these problems.

Reminds me of the time I went to McDonalds and ordered a triple cheeseburger on some promotion they were having. I get my cheeseburger and it has 2 patties. I take it back up to the counter and ask "How many pieces of meat are there supposed to be on my triple cheeseburger?" The guy behind the counter gets a dumb look on his face and says "uhhhh, three". Now I guess we have to ask and check for how many frets are on our 24 fret Jackson guitars. I can see it now: "Yes, Guitar Center ? Do you have a Jackson RR24 in stock? You do ? How many frets are on that guitar ? 24 you say ? Can you go count and make sure ?"
