Don't know if you're very familiar with the Rhoads, but I often find myself trying to play on the 25th of my 22 fret RR1
At least with my KV3 I had the neckjoint stopping my hand, but even on that fret acces beyond 22 was no problem

I have had several RR's over the years but they were 22 fret.
I guess you would need huge man hands to get that far up on a 24 fretter RR.

Regarding your comment that you may have paid a bit too much - IMHO - you didn't. The value of that guitar to you is exactly what you were willing to pay for it !!! When you find something you really want, you have to step up and not let it pass you by.
