John, it's a 2008 and I'm guessing it's the flash /lighting playing tricks re: the "arched" look of it. Check out the other pics. Looks pretty flat to me.

Looks real to me. That graphic was available on the DK1.

the arch look is because of the yellow fade.

It's been a couple years since I've been to these stores but they are both Jackson dealers and the times I've been there, both had a nice selection of USA Jacksons. I even bought my SL2H graveyard from Moore's years ago. Might be a fun day trip to go check out one of these stores and play some cool guitars.

And I think Lawson was just trying to be funny with his comment. Looks legit to me.
I am not driving to Ohio to look at right handed guitars. Thanks for the heads up I'll keep it in mind.

This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

Most Bengals don't wrap around, unless their older. But love it.

 On every newer Soloist and DK1 I've seen, the Bengal design is on both the front and back.

+1. Maybe not every single one, but the vast majority are done both front and back.

Likewise. I'm not sure when they started wrapping around but my '08 RR1 Bengal had a wrap around graphic.
Edited to add: I honestly don't think I've EVER seen a Bengal on a Jackson that didn't wrap around.

                    Congratz on this!

Now you think it sucks when no Jacksons are around. Well if you are not around Copenhagen or Arhus in Denmark you might never see a US RR anywhere in Denmark. It could be the '90s or 2013 it really does not mean a big difference anyway. We get the catalogs and online videos now. Just take the plunge an order it if you want it bad enough. That's what we have to do. I did and that was RR2772. To be fair I did see a US RR before but it was used and in need of repairs so I did not go with it and it did have a floyd type tremelo on it.

Hubbard Music is very close to me and I have bought Jacksons and Charvels there in the past. However, they have not had a USA Jackson in the store in a couple years now. I think other than myself and a couple other local guys the high end stuff wasn't selling. They do still carry some lower end Jacksons though. Nothing that would excite Lefty however as he's right, its pretty much all right handed guitars.

I been doing some net searches, it appears they've always been that finish, such a same, the imports have a better graphic.

Yep, I think you turned me onto that store a while back. Like I said, it's been a couple years since I've been out that way but the last time through they had 3 PC1s and a few soloist and RR1s hanging up. It was nice to see a selection of USA Jacksons in a small local shop. Totally understand them not carrying that level of inventory anymore though.

Welcome to my world buddy! I have to order all of mine from Massachusetts.

In fact I remember they sold what they had in stock to a guy in PA. He in turn sold them on E-Bay and that was the last of the USA stuff they had there. I remember part if that inventory included a green SLATQH that played great!

Apologies for the reviving of a otherwise dead thread but I gotta say, I had the opportunity to use the DK1 in the studio (recording a new demo) on Saturday and in rehearsal last night. It's no surprise that it plays awesomely but with the OFR set up exactly to my specs, that thing was a monster! Never was a big fan of EMGs but then, I rarely played tunes requiring their distinct tonal characteristics. However, in a hard rock/metal cover band, we hit on numerous tunes that seem tailor-made for EMG's. Kinda weird having an 80's hair metal inspired guitar graphic and doing tunes that are decidedly NOT hair metal on it.

Bottom line, the guitar just crushed! Money well spent!
