take that guitar above, age the finish, put a reverse head in a lightly tinted satin without binding and you get an idea what I am envisioning.
    GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

Have you thought about building your own mock-up to use during your 2 year wait ?

That one in the pic isn't a vintage hard tail but I'm sure you know that.
        Really? well screw Mark Twain.

hahaha, stray i know. that jackson builder doesn't offer one and the old kisake doesn't offer the 3+3 head. i can't find my CD for the liquid pixel builder....so i had to improvise!!

regarding the 2 year wait...that's the fun part. it is what has held me back a lot lately...

You know Mark, I have come to the same feeling about the wait recently. While I think it's still obscene, it's not going to prevent me from ordering.

I can't really help with your Custom Shop specs. But while you wait, pick up a used Kramer Focus 3000 from the 80's:

              (I can't seem to find a decent full-body pic)

It's very Fender-esque, but has an original Floyd and 22 frets. These can be had in the $250.00-$350.00 range.

EDIT: This is a bit closer to a full pic:

Turn around time much faster than Jackson and about half the price.
You can spec it any way you want.
If you are considering other options like Straycat threw out there, I'd suggest looking into GMW Guitarworks. Lee can build a guitar with those specs in 3-4 months with half the cost of the J/C custom shop. Check out his site or shoot him an email with your questions.

If you're dead-set on ordering a Jackson, good luck with the order, and as others have said, make sure you are very specific with your instructions on the order.

here's a couple pics of me using my modded adrian smith from my last show. it is a sweet guitar, and it's what got me thinking down this line. the other bit that got the ol' brain digging for ideas is that i have recorded ALL the guitar tracks on our newest release with a fender joe strummer telecaster. i don't want to mod my grandpa's 1962 strat, and the teles only have 21 frets. i can get by with 22, but i have a couple of leads that need the 22nd fret....

and a shot with the gretsch...

                  i was considering GMW too....

Back to the guitar, I don't understand the one hum choice? I mean, it's cool. But it's not in line with the vintage spec theme? Or is this meant to be "hot rod'd" vintage?
