  • 80's US neck question

Looking at a trade for some loose parts and saw a US Jackson neck I'm curious about..
Unfortunately I don't have pics until I go back to visit the seller.
Reverse HS with maple board and factory floyd nut shelf, 22 fret, TM logo
The headstock has the "phenolic cap" or plastic veneer, Which seller claims marks it as a San Dimas ( Hah ..never heard some one claim that before) <--sarcasm
I searched the forums and couldn't really find a definitive answer about the HS cap.
    anyone?
    Bueller?

yes the early necks had a phenolic cap, not sure when they stopped doing that. the neck should have a date on it, and probably a name stamp or initials. TM logo is usually early but there are repros, are there tuners? dimas era tuners had the tab that went straight down not angle outward.

Didn't see a date but had a WO# and "satin finish" written in pencil on heel, tuners were not the straight tab.
Typo by me though, HS had "R" not "TM"
It had a fantastic profile so I'm thinking i'll grab it.
Just trying to make sure what it is so I can pay a fair price.

If the price is right and the condition is good then yes.
