Definitely oiled. That's what the DK1 specs cite, and what the ones I've owned have been.

There's a 2005 Charvel pointy in town, should I check that one out for comparison then or do you mean earlier Charvels?

Either will work. The necks on the later pointy heads were pretty dead on to the original SD era ones.

Yeah why does the route size matter? Are you looking to stash your weed in there? :think: :idea:

1) It looks beyond stupid...

2) More wood = more tone, IMO.
