Black JT6 trem arms?

You know I thought back about this some this morning and I remembered that I did need to replace the original trem arm, because the original broke when I blow torched it to heat and bend it to a lower angle. I know the replacement was an original Ibanez edge arm. The friction spacers on the edge arm were positioned differently than the JT6, wider apart IIRC. Eventually the edge arm broke too when it broke off where the spacer section narrowed when I was removing it from the socket. My brain is telling me the original JT6 arm was still black, but it's not 100% certain. I just think I would have been more unlikely to blow torch a chrome one due to the discoloration that would happen.GTWGITS! - RacerX

Well I missed this thread before, but Budman claims there never were any black factory trems:
That might be as conclusive as we're going to get. DAMN now I feel like I overpaid._________________________________________________

BTW, my Model 2 came w a chrome bar with extra plastic bushings for the arm in case those wore out. I never needed to replace them since the whole trem wore out first!"Your work is ingenius…it’s quality work….and there are simply too many notes…that’s all, just cut a few, and it’ll be perfect."
