Discontinued paint jobs for USA select series?

If you check the website say for example the RR1 there isn't bengal or broken glass is this just on the website or are these paint jobs now custom shop only or they're still an option

What does this do for resale value if these colors are gone? Say a shattered glass vs a black rr1 same year

I think they are Custom Shop now. I tried to get a WR1 in a bengal finish and it was going to cost too much.

Very little. You're not going to get a premium just because it's not available anymore... you might get a little more from someone looking specifically for a graphic, but yeah, there's not going to be a whole lot of difference in value.

I think there's some leeway with dealers ordering them as non-custom shop guitars, but if you personally want one built I'm pretty sure it'll be full custom price.

True dat, I've got it on my RR1 and it's awesome. Wouldn't mind it at all on a King V or a Soloist. Hint, hint, Jackson...

The graveyard is a killer graphic. You just don't see too many of them out there. I've got an SL2H with it and I love it. But given the JCS and standard production model options, my guess is a graphic like that is now a custom shop spec (if it's still available).

For starters, it was a pretty big upcharge, and it's not like they produced them any faster after that

not a lot of people were buying them. & jackson's shattered glass looked comic book at best. would be cool if they brought back bullseye, checker, and that cool round checker as an option. & i would love a nice lightning sky dinky, tho i would probably have to go custom w the options i want anyway.

I'd been wanting a Lightning Sky for a long time, so I can cross that off the list. Someday I'll have me a Graveyard. A Graveyard WR1 would be badass, if I can find one with a control layout that doesn't suck!

Well, I was glad I could get the Snakeskin finish when I ordered my Select RR1 (even if it was 1/7th of the total price)

Find a used WR1. Send it to Dan Lawrence and have him retop it for the pickup/control layout you want. Then have him refin it with the graveyard graphic. The graveyard graphic is Dan's graphic so Jackson will probably not use that graphic unless Dan paints it. In the end, this route will be a lot cheaper than getting a custom Jackson WR1 with this graphic.

Yeah, I always thought that shattered glass graphic was too cartoony.


If they could do it like Zakk Wylde's LP, then it would be cool.
