Custom Shop SL2H... COA?

Hi,
1st post! I've been checking out the forum for the last couple of days because I just purchased a new Soloist. It says CS on it but didn't come with a COA. It's just one of the select ones so maybe they don't come with one? I hoping one of you guys know. I asked the dealer I bought it from online and he said they normally don't. I kinda find that strange because I bought 2 Fender CS Pro Strats back in 2012 and they both have one. Anyway... Great site! I've enjoyed all the Jackson/Charvel talk!

Hey! None of my CS guitars came with a COA...just the standard hang tag.

One-off guitars don't come with a certificate but the small batch runs seem to (I guess to make the buyers feel special even though there are 9 others just the same LOL)

Thanks for the replies! Yeah... The dealer said something like that. It would really only matter to
me if I was selling it. I don't see that in the foreseeable future!

It won't matter selling it because for the most part Jacksons don't come with COAs. For a short time Masterbuilt guitars came with a leather folder with a COA and pictures of the build, but that was a long time ago and they stopped that rather quickly. A lot of batch guitars with CS logos have shipped with COAs, but they don't really matter either.

Just because a Jackson has a CS logo doesn't really make it a CS guitar.

Yeah, it says Custom Shop on the headstock, J8*** serial. It does have a reverse headstock, with matching paint and a 100% abalone inlay.

J (or RR, or 4 digit bolt-ons) are generally considered to be 'customs' whereas anything starting with a U is a USA Select (though one guy here has a JCS with a U prefix).
