Jackson RR 1987 Identification

Hello, please help me identify this guitar is original or fake? original paint or repainting? This is the original guitar parts? what is this S8?

Looks real, with a nice big crack on the headstock tip that looks like has been reglued. I couldn't tell you anything else about it, though.

Yes, there is damage headstock but it is not critical and it is easy to repair, how about painting, original or non?

+1. Also, wrong knobs, wrong tuners, etc. If someone is representing that to you as all-original, I'd just walk away.

Hardware is non original, but painting may be original or not? no dings or scretches on paint, serial number is RR1970.

+1 means I believe it is likely a refin as well. IMO, the style of that graphic and its colors are not likely consistent with a 1987 guitar.

We can't tell if its real without having it in our hands (unless its a real shitty fake).

So, as to the originality of its features:
The hardware is not original. No discussion needed on that one.

But the paint: we don't know. We will never know unless Jackson issues paperwork from the workshop that says rr1970 is painted in -how ever would you describe that.
If you look, the hardware seems to match the paint. So, maybe it was repainted with the entire theme in mind. Maybe the hardware was replaced to match the paint. Who knows.


Original paint doesn't matter in this particular instance because the damn headstock has been broken in half.
In fact, you are probably better off having it painted to mask the crack.

Spoke to the GC this was @ months back....sales guy said this was a "friends" guitar & was refinished by Washburn!!

What do you mean by "friends guitar" and "refinished by Washbourn"? Washbourn company painted this picture? this information is very important to me, I do not want to buy a guitar with nonoriginal painting (sorry for my bad english).

Sounds to me like enough has been said to steer you clear of it. No offense intended but you're asking in circles. Asking the same question multiple times, expecting the answer to magically change to what you want it to be is just nuts. "friends guitar" is self-explanatory, as is "refinished by Washburn". Also I've never seen a guitar leave the factory with mismatched hardware, not to say it hasn't happened sometime over the years. The flags are there bud.

I look and found that all the hardware is not original, and the case from old Japanese Jackson, it's all possible to restore, but what about painting?
