So, as to the originality of its features:
The hardware is not original. No discussion needed on that one.
But the paint: we don't know. We will never know unless Jackson issues paperwork from the workshop that says rr1970 is painted in -how ever would you describe that.
If you look, the hardware seems to match the paint. So, maybe it was repainted with the entire theme in mind. Maybe the hardware was replaced to match the paint. Who knows.
Original paint doesn't matter in this particular instance because the damn headstock has been broken in half.
In fact, you are probably better off having it painted to mask the crack.

Sounds to me like enough has been said to steer you clear of it. No offense intended but you're asking in circles. Asking the same question multiple times, expecting the answer to magically change to what you want it to be is just nuts. "friends guitar" is self-explanatory, as is "refinished by Washburn". Also I've never seen a guitar leave the factory with mismatched hardware, not to say it hasn't happened sometime over the years. The flags are there bud.In memory of Gary Wright 9/13/2012
