If you measure the dimensions of that pullup route I can probably tell you what was on there originally.

I'm thinking a JT-590 as it had the shortest locking screws out the back. I just went through this exercise with a 650XL project - playing match the trem with the route.

I had a small area and the JT-590 is what fit.

But my personal opinion is this:

        1. The guy has already lied to you. And he did it about something very serious, yet so minor and easy to verify. I wouldn't trust any thing that comes out of his mouth from this point on.
        2. How badly do you want a 22 fret scalloped board? I don't mind a scallop, but I wouldn't want it for 1-12. If you do, that's different.
        3. How badly do you want a yellow flamed guitar.

The side dots are exposed on the top of the board. They could easily pop out. What is the condition of the top dots. How deep is the scallop, is the truss going to crack through?
These are things you need to ask yourself before spending your money.

I definitely wouldn't want it online. And I doubt I would want it if I could see it in person first.
But I am not you. You are interested, otherwise, you wouldn't have posted.

$700 is too rich for me for this.
i've seen factory scalloped fretboards...the side dots are never exposed...you're right it's after market scalloping...appears to be deep too...d

Not to mention the fact that the fingerboard dots were almost completely erased. It looks deeper on the low E side.

Factory scallops have the inlays put in afterwards.

That up pull route would place it around late 88 early 89 IMO. The JT-6 would not have been original a Schaller or a Jackson JT 590 would have been original.
The scalloping looks very deep as well.
The body is nice but I wouldn't pay $700 for that one with all the mods and incorrect parts.
Plus he lied to you in the first place I would tell him no deal.
              Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Now I bought this guitar, I thought the chance to buy jackson this solid flame maple body now appears to be zero, the fingerboard I change to a fully analogous without scallop, tremolo also put the original, The owner did not lie, he just poorly knows in the structure of the Jacksons guitar,

Tomorrow I will make measurements tremolo cavity and show measurement results.

He said it was a factory scallop. He said that he checked with Jackson and they confirmed.
                  That was a lie.

Only a very foolish man will say categorically that this factory scallop and hope that people will believe.

I'm pricing out a guitar by someone else in solid maple, not sure which body design yet. this thread gave me gas for a flame maple body guitar big time.
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

I think there was a JT-590, not original floyd rose, what do you think?

Yep, I'd say the Schaller/JT590 was in there originally. That JT6 definitely came from another guitar.

The fact that the studs are outside of the recess...
Would that make this an 89? Isn't that when they did the half-recess?

Yes, top mount with the pull-up route, I think that was only '89.
