  • SL1 Owners - Do you use your middle pickup?

Do you use your middle pickup?

If so, in what capacity? Do you use it with the first pickup or by itself? Soloing or rhythm? What kind of music?

    No.

Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Nope for all my HSS guitars....but at least my picking style doesn't trip over the middle single.

I don't own SL1s because I would never use the middle pickup... I rarely use the neck pickup for that matter.

I don't use it. I actually changed one of my soloists to a 3-way blade and the middle pickup isn't even wired any more.

            Hot rails in middle.
Use it with neck single coil where noise is an issue and with bridge hum when I roll the volume down to clean up sound.
Never really use it on its own but I suppose I could.

Yes. Either w the neck or bridge for that out of phase sound. and sometimes alone w a clean tone.

Never...but then again, I never use the tone knob and hardly use the volume?

I use the middle pick up quite frequently I like to remove it from the tone control so its clean, clear and woody sounding.
I'm not ham fisted so it being there doesn't bother my playing in the least.
If a pick up gets in your way you may be playing it wrong or you have the guitar hung too low on the strap trying to look like Billy Joe Armstrong.
