Yeah I have a can of clear lacquer I could use for it, I might go for it. It looks good now I have to say, and I have the Liquid Gold Rick suggested on the way so I'll try that and shine it all up. If it still looks a little dull I'll clearcoat it.

Of course, the upside to the au natural finish is exactly what you've just demonstrated - it can be 'fixed' pretty easily, unlike dings in clear coat..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get
Looks fantastic!
Use the liquid gold. It's a cleaner and a preservative.
You only need to use it once a month on the body if you play it regularly and the fret board when ever you change strings.
I always keep a small soft cloth (no microfiber, just cotton) in my case to wipe the guitar down before I put it away.
Follow this and your guitar will always look good.
No need for the clear coat.

Yep I realised that once I'd cleaned it all up. As long as I follow Rick's advice on cleaning it will never end up as black again anyway.
Thanks guys! Jammed with it on Saturday night (although I ended up playing the drums for longer than I did guitar!) and it kicks some serious ass.
Only issue is the on/off microswitch for the sustainer isa bit dodgy I'll need to take a look at it. Sometimes it cuts right out when you touch it.
The guitar looks great Martin. That's a great price for a PC1 in the UK! can't believe I didn't see that one on ebay as well. I'm normally checking for jackson/charvels most days.

Yeah, me too. And I'd particularly been watching for PC1s recently. I couldn't believe it when I did a search for a PC1 and that came up with 12 minutes to go and without a single bid!
Very happy to finally own a USA Jackson, although I still love all the ones I own - just been playing the KVXT, it's a great guitar too.
