Lets see how close we can get to a Gibson now, without changing the headstock?
And, yet, they used to make the Y2KV as Mustaine's sig model. Sure, the crotch is up higher, and no pickguard, but headstock is not that far off from Gibson.

The wings are longer on a Y2KV, too.

In looking closer at these 2 NAMM V's...I see a couple of 'things' they tweaked.

        1) Looks like shortened Y2KV wings ...i.e. 'pointier' than a regular Roundhorn.
        2) They've tweaked the cutaway/scallops where the neck joins the body...lower on the treble side....but both sides different from a 'regular' roundhorn

I really like the black one...the white one, not so much.

Rearloaded without the cutaway for easier access to the upper frets and thicker wings damnit! Bring us the Y2KV and the good ol' roundhorns from yesteryear.

Yeah, that is something we'd find on an ESP Scythe
and I see no reason for a cutout on a neck through V, even my with my KV3, I sometimes found myself trying to fret the humbucker

If you could find a pickguard that the holes lined up, which you wouldn't.

And is it a pickguard or painted?

Yeah but if you're paying that much for a guitar you can spend a little more to have one custom made

It's strange that they won't make anymore of these. It's as though they don't want peoples' money. Go figure.

The V body needs the arrow headstock. It just doesn't look right with a pointy, IMO.

That Gibson looks odd with a Jackson headstock.
