£10 says Dave Mustaine buys Jackson.

Each Dave signature will come with a photo of himself looking very upset over how the whole Metallica / Megadeth thing made him feel.

Each import will come with a copy of the latest Megadeth album. Lets face it, it's the only way anyone might bother listening to it...

And also 1 pound of the Dave Mustaine brand extra bitter coffee.

John Mayer has indeed split with Fender and has been seen more than once playing that pink soloist. Like 5 degrees of Kevin Bacon thinking, Mayer is friends with Kenny G.....Kenny G is friends with Mustaine....Mustaine is friends with David Ellefson and Scott Ian. So Jackson is going to be bought By Mustaine, Mayer, G, Ellefson and Ian.......makes perfect sense or not.

Ok, I'm buying Jackson! Customs for everyone! ROFL!

....I'd bet even money that Jackson is not on the market.
Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!

Check out the new band at - https://www.facebook.com/PerfectStormMetal/?fref=nf

I don't know when he officially split with Fender, but it is my understanding that he played the Jackson months before the split.

And while Jackson may or may not actively be for sale, everything is always for sale.

One of the conditions that Mayer put on the deal was getting Pablo back to build extreme shapes. In fact, Pablo will be in charge of all future designs going forward.

I heard Mike Shannon lead by an investor group may be taking the brand private again.

Every guitar will be an 8 string, 29" scale with reverse-fanned frets and BareKnuckle spider-silk wound P90's and Washburn Wonderbar made of plutonium. The active circuit will be an amalgam of every Ibanez SoundTank pedal. Wood will be reclaimed from burl wood clocks (vintage 1977 models only) and finish will be 1/2 cured marine varnish.

Chris Holmes will personally rub his sweat on the necks to oil them and it'll be mandatory to play all the guitars through .5 watt lightbulb powered Dumble clones.

Vinnie Vincent seems to be selling a lot of his goods trying to raise capital.

Hahaha @Vinnie Vincent and the Chris Holmes thang!
Would be cool if Mike Shannon got the brand back to a private business except their business management would still suck.
They need to steal one of the dudes from ESP, get a cool website and change their whole business model.

Also they should distinguish between the imports and the USA much more a la ESP vs LTD.
They cheaper Jacksons could be called the India Series. Bahahah! "Jackson India Series" Made myself 'lol'.

Yeah, marketing hasn't been Jackson's best effort for the past 10 years or so

I still can't get over the fact how amateurish their official page looks, a good thing in porn, a bad thing in guitars

Their facebook page is a joke.
On the very rare occasion they happen to respond to a question from someone, the answer is always the same... 'Please contact our consumer relations at [email protected].'. As many know, that email will often get you no reply.

On the other hand, ESP's facebook page has knowledgeable people happily answering questions.

Yes and every spec guitar comes with 23 frets standard. If you want 22, it's a $1000 upcharge and an extra year of lead time. Then, they screw it up and you get 23 anyways.

Yay, more 23- and 25-fret guitars!
