J0345 checking in.....love it Stray. Mega congrats. Hopefully you're successful in sorting out the history, probably very cool.

      Thanks.
I do know the band was Society's Child and the owners name was Mike Hine.
A friend of mine was the bass player so he is supposed to send me some pics for documentation.
Its a chore tracking down info but I enjoy it.
      Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Wouldn't that suck. Buying an old guitar that from the era that the info has been made public.... but the info isn't there.

Nice one. Interesting control layout. Does it have a JE-1200 or is it V-V-T/V-T-T?

Hellbat no mid boost just vol ,vol and master tone.
Standard brass shielding plate and no indication there was any mid boost because they used the tape for grounding and a stereo jack.
No mounting holes for the battery mount or sticky back tape to mount to the cavity cover like some I have.
The offset of the tone knob is different too.

Yeah, I was pretty sure the serial pre-dated the Jackson Electronics stuff.

Congrats Stray! That is a great looking guitar - even with the Floyd. If it sounds that good, don't touch it. Too bad it's entry is blank.

The pots are in sad shape and two aren't original anyway so I will put an RSguitarwroks pot kit in it and keep what I take out.
The kit will improve the tone and usability.
