  • Is this guitar legit? (Ed Roman)

Everything in my gut tells me it isn't. I do love the graphic though.

it says it has a serial number U25417 so I'd start there.

I've never seen that graphic before, but it is pretty cool.

The fact I have never seen it and the reputation of the seller have me apprehensive. That kills my pile of skulls though in coolness. I am a sucker for that graphic.

I also can't see any artist signature on the lower horn. so most likely not a mike learn or dan lawrence.

Found a 2014 jackson soloist with serial number SN: U25899 so thinking that one is fairly close in age.

A different take on the graphic, but I do like it.
The serial indicates summer of 2013.

I found an SL1 online with a very similar graphic.

              96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

There are more than a few of them out there- funny, not the first time I've seen them, and I bet most of you have too but just looked quickly and thought "ah, pile o skulls".

+1 It was a 'production' graphic for a bit..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Interesting. Had no idea Jackson changed that one up.

Well, Ed did die a couple years ago, so it's not like he would be faking anything any longer.

Shortly after Roman died, Ron disappeared,

                              coincidence?
