    Need Info on Jackson Rhoads Guitar

    In preparation for a thinning of the collection, I have a USA Jackson Rhoads that I purchased some time ago. I lost my documentation on year etc. and wondered if the forum could help me as I try to identify this one.

    Serial UO 1511

    Snakeskin finish, Schaller/Jackson floyd, appears to be two DP100 Dimarzios (I have not removed them to confirm), Strat style pickup selector (3-way) and one volume (no tone),

    Thanks in advance for any further info on this one that may help me.

    Per the serial it is a 1991. Any other info/history if there is any is appreciated. Thanks

      Originally the scratch plate would have had three knobs and inside an active mid boost circuit. The pickups would have been Jackson models. Someone replaced the electronics and the pick guard. Nice axe, from the first of the USA Production runs which began in the Spring of 1990.

        Really early USA Select... at that point they were still handmade and still made by the people who make CS guitars... nice!

              Is that a Kahler Nut?

                You are correct sir! (about needing to turn them 90 degrees).

                I bought this one, it stayed in the case for 3 years and i just recently got it out. I have an RR1T, PCS, and Japan made RR "Professional". Just don't need four (really don't need 3!!).

                  Actually, it's U01511. There was no "O" in Jackson serials, it's always been a Zero.

                    Kidding. GLWTT (Good luck with the thinning). I too have to deal with thinning out the herd. So painful to do, but it must be done. Too many fiddles just sitting in cases not being loved.
