Not to burst your bubble, my friend, but I've heard secondhand of others being on order. And I nearly ordered one myself, about a year or more ago, as I was told they were being approved at the time - masterbuilt only, of course. (I eventually decided to order a custom select, instead.). We'll see in time if that's true, I suppose. Either way, great guitar.

It's altogether possible. If my work paved the way for others, that's a good thing! Before it, you could only order a Jackson Strathead in a mostly PC config with just minor changes, which was stupid because Fender owns Jackson and didn't need to license the damn headstock. I contemplated ordering a VVV, a Roundhorn or a neck-thru strathead Firebird but that's not what I wanted. I got the guitar I wanted, and that's all that I wanted and it came out almost exactly the way I wanted too! The guitar is back at Jackson getting the logo corrected and I'm happy as can be!

It looks awesome Mike! Good to hear you're getting the logo corrected. Congrats to a beautiful guitar!

For some reason the CS didn't want to do it without binding, so I got it with the binding over the fret ends.
I read an explanation for this. I've always wondered why every Jackson "without binding" seems to have black binding, and not just ebony all the way.

"The wood was maple with ebony, with black binding around the fingerboard. (We always put black binding on ebony fingerboards before painting… the urethane and polyester coatings we used didn’t adhere to ebony very well, but would stick to cellulose binding just fine)."

Thanks! I'm surprised that even 39 months later, my taste didn't change and I was right ordering the logo the way that I did. lol

Interesting! I didn't mind one bit, it just gave me a good reason to get binding over fret ends, and after playing it, I'm glad I did. There's nothing Charvel about it at all really. lol

It's funny because it had taken a decade of owning various Jacksons and other guitars for me to decide exactly what I wanted. XTRR was killer, but the neck was off and by the time I got it, I was a bit past it. The Demon would have been killer if Pablo didn't royally screw it up... third time is a charm apparently.

Damn. I love those outline sharkies. Never seen those before. Never been a huge fan of full sharkies, but that hits the sweet spot. And that neck... holy ... you hit it out of the park with that one.

That's awesome! Love the non-recessed Floyd!

And now Phil Collen has one too...

That's odd. I have one from 85 ebony board no binding no issue w the clear at all.

That's one bad ass mother Xeno, and I actually like the logo the way it is now, congrats brother... BTW, I've always loved strats and always will.

That neck-through PC1 custom is sweet but, other than the reverse head, looks too much like a garden variety model. I can think of a lot of ways they could turn the neck-through feature into an up-market limited edition PC model. Add korina body wood, natural body binding, matching headstock, abalone dot inlays, ditch the middle SC and simplify the controls, a few new special triple-step dye finishes, etc. I'd certainly pay up for one.

Yeah, I agree... I was a bit disappointed when I saw it. I like your idea a lot better... and too bad they didn't go all out with epic wood choices. I considered that... my CS Demon order was supposed to be walnut burl with a matching headstock, blank ebony board, etc.. but I shelved that. Mine came out exactly the way I wanted, except for the logo which is back at Corona getting fixed. So I'm good.
