Adrian Smith Floyd Question

I've not had a chance to play one, but I've been wondering;

is the AS guitar setup to be able to pull back on the floyd? or is it flush mounted? I did a quick search, but nothing lept off the list as far as answers go

I have two of the USA version and they both float. There's not a ton of upward movement, but you'd need to block it to use a D-tuna..
