Reminds me of a joke I used to tell lawyer counterparts...

A guy goes to the zoo, and sees the tiger cage first. The tiger is lying on the ground, licking its asshole. This goes on for 1, then 5, then 20 minutes. So he turns to the guy next to him and says "Man, that tiger sure likes to lick his own asshole." The guy responds "Nah, he just ate a lawyer. So he's just trying to get the taste out of his mouth."

Very cool guitar, thanks for sharing!

Technically, it's the manufacturing process that determines what it is. Until the USA Select line came out, almost all all guitars were run as custom orders in the process except for the limited runs they did. When the Select line came out, they optimized production for running batches, which they didn't do regularly before, even when the guitar was built to a stock spec for dealer inventory.

That's OK, as I changed my mind way back when, and declined my acceptances to law school.

It's both Ontario and "Custom Shop", love it. Enjoy!

Ok,Thanks all for info. I picked up this King V in 1995 but I have no idea what it is worth. I know the value of classic guitars are now reaching silly amounts of money, eg I bought a 1960 les Paul special in tv yellow in 1996 for £1950 and sold it ten years later for three times that amount...if I had hung on to it it would be worth even more today... Is this the case with Jackson's too? I appreciate that they a relatively "new" in classic terms. I may want to sell this well played warrior but it would be helpful to get some idea for my insurance purposes. Any clues what it it could be worth?

                many thanks

                Chris

Jacksons aren't inflating in the same way. Probably marked down slightly as not San Dimas, down slightly for the Kahler, condition not great, up slightly because you're in the UK and there aren't many around... I would guess in the £600 to £800 range, possibly more if you find someone who really wants one, original case a bonus especially if in good condition.

That's all just my opinion mind...

Thanks for the reply, yeah that is spot on with my valuation was originally thinking £650 -£750 . It has the original case too.... Sound like we are in the same ballpark!
