The wait here for a Custom Shop can easily be over a year..About a month ago, I was discussing an order - the main Jackson guy at the shop told me that another customer's custom shop just came in after 18 months, this is a big Jackson dealer in Arizona. It was nice he was honest about it.

if you need ASAP..well good luck. You may want to buy a used CS while you wait for yours...and pay 1/2 up front, non refundable.

My two custom selects came in right around the six month mark. I have a masterbuilt that has been on order for about three to four months not and I am fully expecting at least a eighteen month wait. Thinking of doing another custom select KV with custom paint to hold me over but I have three Sully's on order also.

My custom select took about 9 months. But i have changed many time specs, so no complain here. I am going to put another custom select order in the near future!! GAS beats me again lol

Masterbuilt orders take longer than Custom Select orders. Sounds like they were talking about the former. And 18 months for a MB guitar would actually be pretty reasonable, I'd guess that most are taking 2-plus years. Custom Select orders typically take 6 months to a year.
