  • NGD.... with a lil story.

Like others, I have had a few Jacksons over the years. Ever since the Rhoads went into production, I have always been intrigued by it, but never purchased. Never cared for an "artist type model, or affiliation of". Last year or two( I believe) This Rhoads shows up on fleesebay. I watched it. Then it disappeared. I did not have the coin for it, but I would have gone in debt for it. I was on the fence since it was a floyd'd RR, not a RR1T.
I really wanted a hardtail. So, I subscribed to the Jackson search. Nothing. Just out of the blue while checking on my account on Reverb, I decide to search (again). There she is. I kept cool. made an offer. They accepted. She is here. Total case queen. Stock old school emg 85 bridge, 81 neck. Tone pots cut out of circuit. The Jackson/ schaller Floyd bridge looks brand new. I will have to find a new nut, the oem floyd nut has a spacing issue with the B string. Oh, I am a sucker for the Coral Sea finish, Like a bull seeing red. that alone was the deciding factor. The Coral Sea finish is striking. I have yet to see another. Here with it's cousin, My fusion. I am a happy old man.

        Awesome pair! Congrats.

BTW, where did you get the dummy plate for the middle single coil of your Fusion?

          TY.
I made it. Its just a piece of pickguard material, cut to fit.

Oh, cool. I was thinking of taking out the middle pup of my G&L Legacy (S/S/S with pickguard) and having some kind of black metal or plastic cover or something similar put in its place. The pickguard material sounds like a good idea.

I might even decide to do something like that. It would be cool to get the bridge and neck together.

Super happy for you, Murkat. You've been Coral Seasick forever, so it's awesome to see your score. Congrats!

Badass. I think I'd just install No-Load pots for the tone controls if you are picky about that sort of thing. That's better than having Fisher Price toaster controls on your guitar.

Nice, you don't see tons of those. That one is a good version of the pattern too.
