I would love one of those but with an oiled neck and locking tuners. (I know it's a Floyd, I just love the fast and tidy string change with locking tuners.)
My two love affairs (great guitars and Manhattan) in one photo. I always secretly considered these SL2HVs to be "spiritual successors" to the 1998 SHS1 Shannon Soloist. I wouldn't mind adding a used SL2HV to my collection in the future if it was a fair price.
Praise to your Soloist, but if I lived where you were and had your view, I would have no time to play guitar. No amount of USA Jackson mojo compares with the magic and vibe of being in New York City. For you guys growing up and watching 80s music videos with high performance guitars and dreaming to play them, I grew up watching Manhattan on the big and small screen and dreamed of visiting. I've visited twice and the feeling is indescribable. There is just such an energy and buzz about the city like you're part of something very special and happening. One of my financial goals is to save up enough money to live there for 12 months to really take in the city and see if I actually want to move there permanently.
hit me up. I'm close. ill take you to the metal spots. my friends are always out playing or out drinking. i grew up in queens, lived in the bronx for a bit. in long island now cause I'm married with children. but i feel the same way about the city. although so many spots have left the city and moved to brooklyn in recent years.... dave

Sorry for the tangent.
No worries. I've lived in the city for over 15 years and although I love it, I spend most of my free time getting the F out of it. Live and work here and it becomes just another neighborhood.

Superbly. I've discovered I love Soloists. I don't know how I've never gotten into them in the past. It's now my favorite axe. I can't go back to strats. The playability is phenomenal.

Yeah, there's a phase you go through. Eventually you'll love them equally for different reasons I think. But beautiful guitar!
