that was the first order mistake.

so I had them build it again, this is what I got on friday...

110% logo WITH full truss rod cover ( so dont let them tell you it cant be done) and yes we measured it against regular size logo

and still a crimson color, NOT the purple I ordered ( florescent and natural lighting)

Yep, that's J/C's standard trans purple. It's pretty much the same hue they've been doing since that color was offered on the mid-90s USA Charvels.

The monitor excuse may have worked back in 2000, I wouldn't buy that excuse now. I think lepard was spot on.. as a matter of fact go look at the tour of their custom shop , Mexicans everywhere.

My one and only CS build was flawless the day it first arrived. However...they took 2 years, 8 months, and 15 days to deliver.

That's very much a plum colour to my eyes, not a purple. Purple is Cadbury's Dairy Milk for me! When it comes to the logo, is it me or does that J look a little funky / misaligned?

Being a purple/trans-purple fan, that burgandy isn't cutting it for me, so I can feel your pain on the color. Carvin seems to be the only ones that can repeatably do an awesome trans-purple.

The pantone I mentioned above is the Cadbury color. I have been on a trans purple quest as of late. I sent the top from a box of UK heros as an example of what I was looking for with my current project after getting purple and violet trans spray samples that just looked red and magenta. I should have the spray sample from my new custom color this week and will try to post it here.

That is one hell of a request!

It's off... it's sitting lower than the rest of the logo and just a hair to close to the "a".

They'll do it - they used an offcut of my actual top to get me the colour sample..

That's because they fucked up and used a standard truss rod cover. They could have gotten the logo spaced right if they used the shorter cover like he originally got.

Good eye. This whole situation comes off as amateurish on the CS end...sorry.

Yep, very amateurish. I wonder if they're still employing the person who made the 23-fret Kelly and the 25-fret SLAT 7-string within the past couple years.
