Crackle Strat Shipping Upset

Bought this cool looking strat online off of guitar center. Arrived damaged because it was shipped in bubble rap with no case! The advert said hard case included.
Not trying to rant here, I was given a full refund. I do however want to share the uniqueness of this guitar. I don't think I've seen a strat like this. Not sure what's the deal with the carvin floyd and the unusual locking nut..but it's a very cool looking strat indeed.

This should be a glow in the dark one, i knew the previous owner try charging it under the light to see the effect after, too bad about the headstock since its a matching one

Yes. I'm pretty sure they used those on a couple Jacksons and Charvels.

I used to have a Model 4M with that locknut.

Too bad it didn't work out. The Fender type output jack is very odd.

It is a Kahler nut, but I've never seen one with bolts thru the neck like old school Floyd nuts.

Yeah a neck with a top-drilled nut may well have survived this.

I called the shop it got returned to and ask if it will be available for sale again and at what price, they told me the price will be the same even though they will repair the neck. This just doesnt seem right to me and i would also not trust their repair , these guys sent it just in bublewrap that says it all

Also interesting that an August 88 build has the small San Dimas control cavity rout - not the larger Ontario one.

They did the same thing with an '86 Soloist I ordered online from them. Advertised with a case and arrived in a cardboard box. Thankfully, whoever bubble-wrapped it must own stock in the company, because it took me 15 minutes to get it all unwrapped. Sorry your luck wasn't as good as mine.
