I'll bet that guitar is an 87-88 that came originally with a JT-6 trem.

Kind of similar to this 1989 Dinky24 of mine:

Actually, this one might be closer on the graphic, 1988 Soloist:

That dinky and soloist are stunning. Congrats on owning those guitars.

I slided into my local guitar center to see if they repaired it but they sent it off somewhere for a repair.

Ended up going home with a bassbreaker combo

Guitar center has been real bad with shipping my guitar with the case it says it comes with. I can't even begin to tell you the BS i'm currently going through with the Albany GC over this ESP MII and its case.

I had an issue with a used Marshal 9200 dual 100watt rackmount guitar power amp. They packed it well and I got a great price for shipping (to Hawaii).
The left side (2 separate 100w amps) was flaky. They eventually agreed to send me a new set of inexpensive 5881 tubes. Still flaky.
Also I then found it had stripped/incorrect screws, so the metal top cover rattled. the fan made noise, etc...
It took 2 months to sort it out. Problem was they never REALLY tested it! They probably spent 10 minutes on it total, before listing it on their site.

In the end they also refunded me $150 for having a local guy bias it/service it.
I probably only paid about $300 for it all said and done, and it was now re-tubed and biased with 8 new power tubes!

I now have 75 pounds / 200 watts of Marshall mayhem (iron maiden endorsed) stereo poweramp - I can play a small arena with it through my four 2x12 cabs.

It was worth the 2 months of stress... but I know now that buying old electronic gear is generally not a good idea.

So, Guitar center - their used prices are very good, their quality control is shit. But they make things right. Seems like a waste of their own time - and ours...

That being said - I just bought a collector-owned, unplayed (literally) Jackson soloist masterbuilt (run of 20) custom shop soloist SLHS from them, and put another on lay-away.
Prices... approaching the incredible. I guess I'll post a few pics of them...

Sorry I talk too much - anyway the point - Guitar Center purchases? - good stuff sometimes.. buyer beware.
