Asking for help with history and value of this Iron Maiden Dinky

I asked about the Floyd because my eyes saw the route as a whale tail or something. I see it's the route now, which looks out of whack for the trem but it's probably the angle. Also, the fine tuners look more like the heavily painted or whatever ones they have on the JT-580.

MOTO= mother of toilet seat- the plastic used on the DK-2 among others.

The neck if it didn't have the paint would look like it came off a lefty DK-2 or some import reverse. Reverse headstock, reverse sharks, rosewood and looks like MOTO....

So that would mean this is not a DK-1 neck, and the custom shop, made in USA were painted by Mike?
Every DK-1, custom shop neck should be Ebony/MOP...is that correct?

Mike also let me know the made in USA and custom shop logos were already on the neck, so I can't see it being an import neck...

thanks for the info..But as I posted already, Mike Learn already told me that he painted this..and would charge about $850 for a similar paint job on a disassembled Dinky.
But the seller did not point this out -- and, also has it listed as having SD pickups.

If it came from CMC (I hope you're not the owner) I'm sure it was very expensive originally - just my experience with (their listings on eBay)...
I didn't notice the indent for the baseplate...that should be done on all DK-1's, in fact, all bolt-on necks!
I don't think I've ever seen that before on a Jackson..
I've seen some other brands that have flush-mounted neck plates... also nice.

Yeah those first pics certainly don't do the inlays any justice. Doesn't help that the fret board itself looks really bland... the whole neck just looks.. meh. Not arguing if it's CS or not, but that neck is really underwhelming. Having said that it's probably plays like butter.

I think it's cool. It's as close to CS as you can possible get considering Mike did the work, as Jackson won't ever do a factory one like that. The partial refin of the headstock was very thoughtful and well done. I agree with the $1500 appraisal.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I dunno why people don't consider that album a classic. The PS album was just monstrous and I can't tell you how many times i played that record. The vinyl version of Running Free gave me chills.

If we're going to comment on Live After Death... That's the album that made Maiden my favorite band. I can't think of a song on that album where I'd rather hear the studio version. Truly one of those bands where, as good as the studio versions may be they can't hold a candle to the live version.

Bruce's voice is strained and off-key from song one. He's struggling to hit the high notes in the verses of Aces High in the key of A minor. "Jump in the cockpit and start up the engines. Remove all the wheelblocks, there's no time to waste."

Granted, the band was halfway through the grueling World Slavery Tour... and I dislike hating on Maiden... and they won't use autotune which is laudable...

Guitars are too buzzy for my liking too. THAT could have been helped! :p
