Back on topic, why won't Jackson build the Death Warrior/Angel/Kelly shapes any longer. I had a Death Warrior built a few years ago with no problems.

The King Kelly may have the same issues that Jackson has with the Death Angel/Warrior and won't build them for the non-endorsed artists. Really makes the motto "If you can dream it, we can build it " kind of a hollow statement. My money for the Death Warrior builds went to Sully and I couldn't be happier with my 624 and I am sure the Ghost Elita and Exotic Galaxy V builds he does for me will be just as good or better.
Yep. Their "Custom" Shop has become anything but. Not to kick this dead horse again, but for those who don't know, I tried to put together a Limited Run that was basically a stock SL2H with a Maple board. That's it. No other changes. I was informed that it would be a "woodworking change" and thus, a Custom Shop order. And of course, it would have been the typical 2-year wait, most likely.

So I said "screw 'em" and ordered a Carvin. It arrived in about eight weeks and I proceeded to order two more.

I really don't get that, it's listed as an option on the custom select form.

I'm keen to see this Carvin mate. Can you post in Other Guitars? I'm thinking about an Ultra...

I did. It should still be there.

                  But just in case:

You're right, but this was before they introduced Custom Select. By then I was already looking at Carvin.

Wow. Stunning. No neck angle, right? And those are locking tuners with a lock-nut? Bit of over-kill but I like it. How are the pickups? Think I'll have to order some Black Limba madness...

I note that Kiesel won't build certain things that they used to which can be annoying but at least it's not as bad as how Jackson are. They may as well be the Jackson Select Customshop...

I don't get why people think locking tuners and a locking nut are overkill - just the extra weight? They really serve two different purposes.

It's a pretty shallow angle. The locking tuners are standard on this model (DC600), so when you add the Floyd and locking nut, they stay.

I really like the pickups. They're about the same "hotness" as Duncan JB's with great clarity.

Kiesel is kicking ass right now. I Wish Fackson would come down off the horse a little and take care of you dudes. Kiesel is quality stuff, but still not Jackson.
