Jackson USA Soloists - 80s :)

Just got the third one in this trio and love it. It's a heavy guitar and with the dings and chips on the back looks to be mahogany wings.

It's going to get refinished and converted to an H-H by Lee Garver at GMW!

Like the blue one, is it that rough that it needs a refinish?. Some people pay $$$ for a few fake chips and dings on a new guitar.
Why HH? Would a JR in the neck work?.
What's the 3rd knob?

The surf blue pearl is rough on the back...plus it's not a color I'd be after. Going to get it changed to purple

Nice! The red one has a Rhoads control layout - never seen that on a Soloist before.

Nice group of soloists! May I suggest Crown Royal Purple Metallic if you haven't chosen a color yet. It's a sweet color.

Going to be returning the red Soloist back to GC. Too much headache to get the nut replaced and the neck's got a twist in it. I'll put the money towards getting my Baby blue soloist above refinished by Lee at GMW.
