      I mostly prefer the new one, but I like the NR trem on the old one!

        The one hum would look a lot better with a fret polish and some oil on that fretboard. Both sweet though! Grats!

          Love them both, The recessed one is THE one, I have been looking for too. HS is the shizzle. Congrats and please message me if you ever want to part with her.
          I also noticed the old one originally had a jt-6 trem. The posts give it away every time. So silly why Jackson didn't keep the FAT trem post bushings that are in my
          90's professionals, made by Schaller for the Floyds. Go figure, I hoard those, lol.

            No the San Dimas soloist is an original FR, produced before JT6. JT6 posts are same diameter but 1 thread count different from the old school FR posts. Trust me I know this from experience. Try to fit a JT6 post in here and it will go a few turns and bind up. Force it and you f up the insert. Also it has the FR nut...JT6 was much differentn and did not exist in production when this guitar was produced.
