This orange creamsicle arrived last week, but I haven't had a chance to post about it until now. Specs are as follows:
- SoCal Body Style, Alder
- Candy Tangerine Finish
- White-Black-White 3-ply Pickguard
- Caramelized / Baked Maple Neck, Single-Piece
- Abalone Dots
- Jumbo Frets
- Wheel Truss Rod Adjust
- Hum-Single, Dimarzio Mo'Joe & Fast Track 1
- Volume, 3-way Blade
- Strat Headstock, Matching Paint
- 80s Jackson Logo, White 80% Size
- Gotoh Tuners
- Original Floyd, Non-Recessed
- Chrome Hardware
Really happy with how this one turned out. I know they've been pretty popular with several manufacturers for a few years now, but this is my first experience with a baked maple neck. I was expecting it to be an "eh, cool" moment, but have to say I'm very impressed. This neck is utterly awesome - it is so slick, so hard, so resonant. This difference between this and a regular maple neck is huge. It just makes the guitar. And, if the "baking" on this one were a steak, it would be considered "well done". The overall build is just excellent, props to the Jackson custom shop. As always, big thanks to Matt and Jay at Matt's Music, too - they are the best.
Apologies for the crummy outdoor pics, it's pretty cloudy and overcast today. The first indoor pic is a better representation of the finish's true color.
