My dreams have finally come true! as you can see from my signature, I've been after an SL1 for years now. Whenever one showed up, I didn't have the cash. When I did have the cash, I couldn't find one.

So now after selling my CS Kelly, I managed to find a gorgeous example and at a great price too.




1993 Soloist, all original from what I can see. It should be with me later this week.

I still have my WR1 from Coda during that sale. I could never bear to part with it.

The Kelly I sold was from Coda too, one I think you were thinking of buying during the sale. Amazing guitar in terms of playability, tone and construction but the shape wasn't for me in the end.

It's a Bill Lawrence USA pup that Jackson used on some guitars in the early '90s (most likely the L-500XL).

Yeah looks like the original Bill Lawrence. I've been thinking of getting one for my RG550 so I'm glad to have one in another guitar. Hopefully it will be with my by Friday latest

Some more photos for you guys. Still getting used to the Soloist. The volume has now been moved to the tone control position and the tone pot is now inside the cavity.

I'm really loving it, it's now my go to guitar.

Unfortunately, the hardcase absolutely stank. I tried cleaning it but in the end I took the lining out and I'm left with the Styrofoam molding. I may reline the case, though I'm really considering just getting a new hardcase when I start gigging soon.

Oh man, your desert yellow Ibanez RG550. What's the story behind that one? What year is it? Because I don't think I've seen any desert yellow RG550s that have the combination of AANJ and V1/S1/V2 pickups together. It's like mixing retro (the yellow and those particular pickups) with new (AANJ).

It's actually just a stock 1990 RG550. So it does have the square heel. It's in crazy good condition for its age.
