Who is the best dealer to go through when placing Custom Shop orders?

I always went thru Matt`s Music. Never a problem. I will again if Fender ever drops that stupid Masterbuilt Charge.

I've used Matt's for a long, long time. Matt and Jay are great, consistently nothing but the best.

I used Capitol Guitars for two custom selects and two masterbuilts. I have had nothing but great service from Eric and Billy there. It's also a bonus that they are local and I can talk to them face to face.

Jackson isn't taking Custom Shop orders at the moment and supposedly are only selectively approving Custom Selects.

I've always worked with Matt, he was always willing to fight the no-go's and get good compromises.

I just placed a Custom Select order yesterday, so it is possible to get as custom select order through... just stick to the available options and you will probably be fine.

8-10 months? My delivery quote was 100-120 days. Did you go with a graphic or some other complex finish?

The finish I wanted was Trans Black,but with no solid black borders.I ordered the Flamed Maple cap,and want it to show through the entire face.Other than that everything was standard on the CS options page pretty much.I had heard CS orders are usually 2-4 months delivery.I'll have to call Jay and inquire about the longer build time quote.

I think finishes can add considerable time to a build. Maybe yours is one of those, but to more than double the time is surprising to me. Though I must say the black trans is a really nice finish and will probably be worth the wait. Realistically I suspect mine will be more like 5 months.

I called Matts today and they are still saying 8-10 months,sooner would be nice but I can wait.It should arrive about the same time as all the Hurricane Irma babies!While everyone else in the hurricane was making new babies,I was ordering one!
