  • Who makes the Floyd Rose for the Custom Select soloist?

Hey guys, first post here. I Recently purchased a Jackson SL2H,
and was just wondering if the stock Floyd Rose is made by Schaller? It looks like the Schaller Floyd Rose I have on another
    guitar.

Custom select, master build and custom shop in general have all genuine OFR made by Schaller.

+1 For MB I guess you can spec what you want, but otherwise it'd be the OFR. Of course, that doesn't stop someone changing it out once the guitar is in their hands..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Doesn't it tell you on the bottom of the baseplate or on the block that it's made in Germany?

Wouldn't I have to take it apart too see that? It sounds
like it is made by Schaller , which I am happy to know.

You can take the tremolo back plate off, look through the tremolo routing. There you can see a small "made in germany" text under the bridge baseplate.

The Schaller has a thicker baseplace.
The OFR baseplate is potato chip thin.

Yeah, but nobody asked about that. Schaller still makes the German OFR in their factory.

                  Here we go again.
To answer the OP's question: the stock trem on the SL2H is indeed a Schaller-made (in Germany) Original Floyd Rose. However, as it was pointed out, the OFR can easily be swapped out for something like the 1000 series.

All Floyds are made by PING. Kidding, you can usually tell a 1000's series by looking at the string lock bolts.
Schaller baseplates are thicker, but NOT a Floyd Rose. Search man, this topic is as old as dirt.
