  • jackson san dimas?

Recently I got a jackson rr neckthrough usa custom made, the seller told me that it was made in san dimas in the year of 1986 with serial number RR1887 in the last fret. I look at the page and it's supposed to be a jackson made in san dimas in 1986 RR1755-RR1929, but what I do not understand is because the headstock is different from my other guitars made in san dimas the letters made in usa are next to the jackson logo and not below it and the symbol r, is this a legitimate jackson made in san dimas glendora factory?

Jackson has used multiple logos over the years. Pictures help.

And anyone can correct me if I am wrong, or even add to this...
The R (vs a TM) reflects the sale/partnership of the company, which would also coincide with the factory move.

R did not exist prior to 86 (what month?), but we've found that some TM stuck around into 89.

I think the 3Q86 time frame saw the logo transitions.
Does your guitar have binding over the fret ends?

        It's a rhoads custom with a Kahler.
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get
