RR 1 Pickups Suggestions

I have an older RR1 with active electronic pickups that i really dont care for. What would you guys suggest for pickups. I really love the way the burstbucker pro's sound in my les paul standard, but i am not sure how they would sound in a jackson, plus those suckers are expensive as hell. So what do you guys suggest? I would appreciate any input.

Duncans:
-Distortion in the bridge and a Jazz in the neck
-Distortion in the bridge and a Custom in the neck
-'59 in the bridge and a JB in the neck
-Distortion (B) and JB (N)
-'59 (B) and Jazz (N)

Or any other combination should be great [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

DiMarzio Steves Special in the bridge.
DiMarzio YJM single coil in the neck. Get a special ring cut for single coil.

Thanks all for the great suggestions, i have played most of the pickups you have suggested. I am looking for something with a little less top end, maybe rolled back a bit. Has anyone ever played the seymour custom custom? I am thinking of trying that.

I would go with an EMG combo.

I haven't tried the Custom Custom but I really like the regular Custom in the bridge position.

JB in the bridge and a 59' in the neck.

i had a duncan custom in the bridge and dimarzio humbucker from hell in the neck...with a coil split for bith in the middle position...unreal tone...and a good variety too...d.m.

I have that in my mahogany soloist, and find that it doesn't really cut through, the 59' is really buttery for clean rhythm's and leads, and the i find the jb just too weak... I wanna try the Super distorion and that PAF pro, seems like a good combo
