Re: 7 string Select Series Option--Lets make it ha
How many folks here are actually willing to throw down cash for a USA 7-string? Here's the thing, you could work a limited run yourself with one of the forum dealers - I'm sure one of them would be happy to do this. All you guys have to do is agree on specs and go for it and for that I'll just sit back and enjoy some and watch you guys debate what the specs whould be.I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Obvously, these are 6's, but at least it gives you an idea.

7-string single EMG reverse headstock rhoads...... unf unf unf unf
(I'd go for trans black over that trans red though, and I'm a bigger fan of flamed maple than quilted for trans finishes )

I don't much care for curly "flamed" Maple. I do like curly fries, though.
I haven't made any flamed maple graphics, and I'm probably not going to, so, you'll have to live with quilt on the mockups. Unless someone else wants to try their hand at it..??

Any kind of Rhoads, King V, Soloist or Dinky with the SLS 4+3 headstock, 24 frets. Either TOM or Floyd bridge is fine with me. See, I'm easy to please. I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I would love a Rhoads or Kelly 7... forward or reverse headstock would be fine, I'm not a fan of 4+3 myself, I like the straight in line ones.
I would love to see these happen, that would be so great.
Here's hoping!

You'd be a fan of the 4+3 if you had a 7 string. The other headstock - especially reversed - is too damn long, I think, and messes with the balance.

Yeah, those inline 7-string Jackson headstocks are definitely too long and look stupid, IMO. 4+3 is definitely the way to go.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I agree for a regular pointy headstock but as a reverse head the 7-inline kinda works.I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

agreed. (although you might have to do the foam-behind-the-nut trick the guy from fear factory does to keep those long reaches of string beyond the nut from resonating)
