THe guitar center in San Fran CA did not have ANY US Jacksons when I was there AND to boot, 3 of the imports were missing strings, and none were set up properlly.

I like the excellerated production times. And the new marketing techniques. What I don't like is the fact that my store a GC doenst have any new USA Jacksons. I could sell the **** out of these but yet the one that where ordered for my store get sent to Arlington Hieghts. Bastages.
but thats not Fenders fault. I would like to see a top mounted floyd on a Strat style body not a dinky with a single hum as a production option. Get Charvels into Guitar Center. We can move them trust me. I know my store can.
Get some HIGH PROFILE players Like Zakk Wylde to endorse Jackson/Charvel. The only main stream high profile left tha comes to mind is Pgil Collin and what has Def Leppard done lately?... Nothing against them but Zakk is huge right now; utilize that. Pull him from Gibson and give hm a reason a to stay here. Like a much higher quality guitar than what Gibson turns out and at a better price too.
Another thing id like to see is a production Star. Either with a Jackson logo or a Charvel one.
The Eddie thing is awesome and its about friggin time too on both sides. With EVH and Zakk on board sales would once again sky rocket like the mid 80s. Yeah its great to get the up and comming endoresments too but we need som eold school high profile players back in the fold. Eddie is a start get Zakk. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
And just for thought how about the Dave Murray and the boys from Maiden while were at it. they already play Fenders they're half way to Jackson. Just make them a JAckson strat style with a Jackson head stock. Simple enough no?

Oh and som enew models wouldnt be bad either.... Plus get the Jazzers and other none typical Jacksons into the larger dealers Like GC. again just a thought. PRS and Gibson need some other competiotn and to ge tthe thery of Jackson being a metal guitar out of the heads of the conditioned and brainwashed youth.

Maiden will play basically anything. In terms of Jacksons/Charvels, Adrian's played and owned various Soloists (including a doubleneck), Strathead Strats, and most recently a King V. Dave had that wine-red Jackson Strathead Strat around the "No Prayer For The Dying" era, and recently acquired a Wayne Charvel Rock Legend (I think) from Wayne Guitars. I know the Wayne isn't strictly a "Charvel" but hey, close enough. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img] I've never seen Janick and Steve with anything else except their usual Fenders, and the occasional Gibson (Janick), Guild (Steve), and Ibanez (Steve).

I'm a newbie to the board, but not to Jackson.

I have an 84 Black and brass RR-1, a Polka Dot V, and an original pinstripe V (not the new one. the old one with the LTD serial number). I also have a dinky, and RR Pro, and have had a few others that I traded or sold over the years. (yes, I am a huge Rhoads fan so I have the LP custom too, the whole collection)

I only have 2 gripes that are the same ones I've had before the Fender buyout, which I think is a good thing

1) I want an RR-1 with 24 frets !!!!!!!!!!!! Not an rr-5, or an rr-3, but an RR-1 with 24 frets.

2) We need a better company user group with model history. I still can't figure out what pickups are in my B&B, or my pinstripe.

If anyone here can tell me what pickups I have I would greatly appreciate it, you can email me at [email protected]

I will post a pic when I get home. I'm at my inlaws now since hurricane Charley left me without power, water or food. I live in Orlando, and last I heard it will be about 1 week before power is restored.

I did find a pic on another site, It doesn't have the RR Pro or the Dinky, but it does have the whole Rhoads collection [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]



The 84 is a little chewed up as I bought it used, but it still plays and sounds awesome.


Can any of you help with the whole pickup identification thing ?

I know the pinstripe has a duncan Jazz in the neck. I want tp put whatever is in the bridge of the black and brass into my LP.
