• My first U.S.A Jackson

Hi! Im new member to this forum, so hello to everyone and i'd like to introduce my first USA Jackson wich is DK1, heres pic:

    http://www.sunpoint.net/~laurihak/pic/dk11.jpg

Bought it in used in mint condition and it came with hard deluxe case, wrenches and some accesories. Color is Black Forest. And plays like dream.. butter anyone?? Before this i have owned quite many top guitars, but this beats them all in stability and all.

I saw in Jacksons site that usa bolt-on guitars wich has serial from 5234 to 5999 do not exist (due to an error in the stamping machine). These neck plates say "Jackson, 4452 Airport Drive. Ontario, CA 91761". They are still in use today. Mine fits in that gategory, so is there something that i should be worried about?

    Thanks, Lauri, Finland!

I think your confusing the serial number chart a little. Custom order bolt-ons have a 4-digit serial number; these guitars were first produced beginning in 1986. Production model/USA select series (from 1990 to the present) have 6-digit serial numbers, as of now in the format 00XXXX. Your serial number is probably somewhere like 005XXX, so there's nothing to worry about.
