Ya know, I have never really had that much interest in RR1's, due to the fact that I play sitting down 98 percent of the time, but all of a sudden, when I think I may want one, I have two old ones pop up.
This one was traded into my buddy's shop today, a student though, not a custom like my last post, with the serial number RR 1347. But get this, it is a shiny sparkle blue, with bengal stripes (black)! Anyone know if it is original finish? Looks that way to me. The blue is sort of a glittery blue, but not too glittery. Pickups are EMG's, obviously not original. But the tuners, etc are all original, I assume. The condition is probably a 7.5 out of 10. A few little bruises, but nothing major. Case included. All mine for $450.
A good deal I assume? Certainly a good way to add an RR1 to my collection for not much money, which is probably wise as it wont get played all that much, just passed along someday.
Would anyone know about that finish? Quite a week of luck I would say. She is gonna be cleaned up, and I should have it by the beginning of the week.
Also, in the cavity, the number "1045" is written. What would that mean?
Thanks for all the help.
You guys are the best.
Shawn
