Re: Random thought: I love Jackson guitars.

Gotta say - of all the guitars in all the world it was the Jackson Kelly I fell in love with. I have played many since my first Kelly, from 1960 Custom Les Pauls to top range Ibanez but still I keep coming back to the Kelly.....

...maybe it is something in the water??

I am in love with Jackson all the way.
I used to love only Strat/Dinky shapes and now I am in love with these RRV,Kelly,King V and so on.
Maybe soon, I will end up selling my other non Jackson guitars such as BC Rich and I will only have Jackson and couple of GMWs.

I actually recognize that place. It's only 10 minutes from me. :shudder: I hate Glendora (except GMW).

Re: Random thought: I love Jackson guitars.

I've got 13 guitars now of various brands, USA Hamer,BC Rich,Ibanez,Gibson etc etc... but what's my #1?

This is what HOOKED me on Jacksons. The build quality, the tone, the feel. They're absolutely PERFECT guitars.
I'm not getting rid of my other brands since I love variety, but you can bet this Kelly won't be my last Jackson. I've decided I NEED a Soloist, ...and so it begins...

Re: Random thought: I love Jackson guitars.

I agree. I played many guitars over the past many years and even built (building is also an addiction) a Jackson Dinky "look alike" from Performance Guitar parts back in 1984. I think the body was Northern Ash, because I swear it's twice as heavy as a Les Paul. And now, I finally bought a new American made Soloist. I think I'll be selling my other guitars and getting more Jacksons. That may be addicting as well!

I had a dream last night that a buddy of mine trade me his "crappy jackson bass" which was a Jackson USA San Dimas P-Bass, for my Carvin.

When do you admit you have a problem ?

Re: Random thought: I love Jackson guitars.

I have been playing since I was 7. I am now 44. My first guitar was an original Gibson Firebird. I have had an SG, Fender Strat, PRS, Ibanez Jem, Hamer Californian and many more. I have played most every other guitar out there. I have played most high end custom guitars - Zion, Baker, Tom Anderson, Warrior and many more that I can't even remember.

None of them had the feel, playability, articulation and tone of a Jackson - none period.
The quality of a Jackson is as high as you can get IMHO.
And for shredding there are none that I have played that compare. Either they don't have the playability or they don't have the sound. Jackson has both. They are not for the jazz or country guys - these are rock guitars although you could use some of them for different styles.

I have had 3 Jacksons and 1 Charvel by the way and just ordered a custom Jackson based on the PC1 which should be here in about 11 months from now hopefully.
