One of the guys that does the soundtrack work at Disney has a guitar with a fretless glass fingerboard. They had an article on it in an old Guitar Player. Said he used a magic marker to plot out fret lines, and could wipe them off and do a lot of different microtonal stuff. I'm pretty sure they said it was especially featured in the House of Mouse Nutcracker episode, but I never watched that show so I haven't heard it.
Hey Blasphemer, i've been watching that Shannon for a long time in DBA, and the price went from Dkr. 9800,- to 7000,- and that is sooo cheap! Congratulations! I would have bought it if i didn't have too many guitars already.
You know, i'm 99% positive that your new Shannon belonged to the JCF board member Jim Shine - he sold it a few months back and i'm almost certain it went to Denmark. Maybe Jim here can tell you a good story on your new purchase. Good luck with it!
Yeah, I do think I sent mine to Denmark. I have the slip somewhere. No stories about that one. It was really, really clean. I was on a buying spree. I bought a '62 Fender Jazzmaster, two '85 King V's, the '85 Roundhorn V, a '83 Charvel pointy, and a few '84-5 Soloists, all in about a months time. I also was dumping money into the harder to find parts for my Dodge Charger, so I had to set some stuff free. The guitar was great and I loved the black finish, but I prefer the feel of the 1984-5 guitars a little more, so I sold it.
I had a X2N in mine with two duckbuckers and it rocked. I had a push/pull coil tap for the bridge and it sounded great. The original duncans sucked the tone out of it. Wish I still owned that one.

Yea, the sticker had to go off.
The guitar looks pretty clean though.
And I think good idea to restore some parts as well.
The tuning pegs and locking nut.
